Jackery Explorer 300 v2

The Jackery Explorer 300 v2 is a small 288 Wh station that replaced the Explorer 300 Plus, sized for phones, laptops, lights, fans and a Wi-Fi router. It weighs 8.2 lb, refills from the wall in about 76 minutes, and its 10 ms UPS mode keeps a modem or router on through a flicker. The main limit is its 300 W output, which rules out coffee makers, hair dryers and most heaters.

How long does the Jackery Explorer 300 v2 last?

From a full charge, the Explorer 300 v2 keeps a CPAP (humidifier off) going for about 35 hours and a Wi-Fi router and cable modem for about 10 hours. A mini fridge runs about 8 hours. It cannot start a full-size fridge or a chest freezer, because their compressors need about 1,000 W and 700 W to start and this unit stops at 600 W of surge.

Runtime for 18 common devices

One device at a time, from a full charge. Devices that cycle on and off (fridges, freezers, heaters, pumps) use their average draw.

Battery Wh × 0.85 ÷ the device’s average watts. “Can’t run it” means the device needs more than 300 W or a start-up surge above 600 W. Try your own mix in the calculator.

Is the Jackery Explorer 300 v2 right for you?

If your list is phones, laptops, lights, a fan and a router, this is the lightest way to cover it on our site. It weighs 8.2 lb, has a fold-down handle and holds 288 Wh, the same as the BLUETTI Elite 30 V2. On small loads it lasts as long as the RIVER 3 Plus or Elite 30 V2, since all three hold about the same energy.

What it gives up is power. At 300 W continuous and 600 W surge, it has half the output of those two rivals. That rules out a full-size fridge, a chest freezer, a home oxygen concentrator, a desktop gaming PC and anything with a heating element. A mini fridge with a typical 500 W start-up works, but one with a harder start could trip it.

Two more limits. Solar charging only goes through the 100 W USB-C input, with no separate DC solar port, so a full refill takes about 3 hours or more of strong sun. And there is no app. In its favor, Jackery rates the battery for 4,000 cycles, though it counts to 70% capacity rather than 80%.

What we like

  • Only 8.2 lb with a fold-down handle
  • Two AC outlets plus a 100 W USB-C port for laptops
  • Full recharge from a wall outlet in about 76 minutes
  • LiFePO4 battery rated for 4,000 cycles (to 70% capacity)

Watch out for

  • 300 W limit rules out coffee makers, hair dryers and most heaters
  • Solar charging only through the 100 W USB-C input, with no DC solar port
  • No app control, and it can be hard to find in stock

Questions about the Jackery Explorer 300 v2

Can the Jackery Explorer 300 v2 run a CPAP all night?
With the humidifier off, yes: about 35 hours, or four 8-hour nights. With a heated humidifier at about 34 W, it lasts about 7 hours, just short of a full night.
Will the Explorer 300 v2 keep my Wi-Fi on during an outage?
Yes. Its 10 ms UPS mode switches to battery fast enough to keep a router and modem online through a flicker. It then runs them for about 10 hours.
How do you charge the Explorer 300 v2?
From a wall outlet it goes from empty to full in about 76 minutes. Solar works only through the USB-C port at up to 100 W, so plan on about 3 hours or more of strong sun.
