BlackoutWise is a small content site. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell anything about you. Here is what happens when you visit.
No accounts, no sign-up forms
There is nothing to sign up for. No login, no profile, no saved history, and no newsletter. The site has no forms that ask for your name or email, so we do not collect email addresses. You read the pages and use the calculator, that is all.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these only to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are kept for a short time and then deleted.
Cookies and affiliate links
This site does not set tracking cookies of its own. When you click an affiliate link to Amazon or to a brand store (EcoFlow, Jackery, Anker, Bluetti), that store may set a cookie so it can credit the sale to us. Those cookies live on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours. See the affiliate disclosure for how those links work.
Analytics
We do not run analytics right now. If we add analytics, we will choose a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies or follow you across sites, and we will update this page to say what it collects.

You can write to hello@blackoutwise.com if you want to. We use your message and address only to reply. We do not add you to a list, and we do not sell, rent or share your address.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. We will not quietly expand what we collect.
