Can a power station run a PS5 / game console?

Updated
Short answer

Yes. A PS5 draws about 220 W while gaming, so a 1,000 Wh power station runs it for about 4 hours and a 2,000 Wh unit for about 8. Add a 55-inch TV and a 1,024 Wh unit lasts about 3 hours.

The PS5's 350 W rating is the most its power supply can deliver, not what the console pulls during play. Our numbers use about 220 W while gaming, and lighter games and menus can drop to about 120 W. The console holds that draw for the whole session, with no cycling, so the average is the same 220 W. Your TV is the other half of the load: a 55-inch LED set adds about 90 W and a 65-inch OLED about 135 W. To see your own draw, plug the console into the station and read the watts on its screen while you play.

The console alone is an easy load. It needs about 350 W for a moment at start-up, and every station in our table covers that, so all 20 can run a PS5. A 3-hour session uses about 660 Wh, and the console runs about 1 hour on a 286 to 288 Wh unit, about 4 hours on a 1,000 Wh unit and about 8 on a 2,000 Wh unit. Add a 55-inch TV and the pair draws about 310 W, more than the Jackery Explorer 300 v2's 300 W output, so it cannot run both. With that TV, a 1,024 Wh unit lasts about 3 hours and a 2,048 Wh unit about 5.5. With a 65-inch OLED instead, plan on about 2.5 and 5 hours.

So a 1,000 Wh unit covers most of one evening with the TV, not a whole weekend. A 3-hour session with a 55-inch TV uses about 930 Wh, a bit more than a 1,024 Wh unit delivers after inverter losses. In a long outage, save the battery for the fridge, lights and Wi-Fi first, and keep in mind that online play also needs your internet provider to have power. A handheld console or a laptop charged from the station's USB-C port uses far less than a PS5 and a big TV.

How long does each power station run a PS5 / game console?

At about 220 W on average, a PS5 / game console runs for about 1 hr on the 286 Wh EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus, about 4 hrs on a 1,000 Wh-class unit (998–1,070 Wh) and about 16 hrs on the 4,096 Wh EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3.

Estimate: battery Wh × 0.85 ÷ 220 W average (220 W × 1 duty). Your model may draw more or less; check its label. Prices are typical ranges we checked by hand on October 9, 2026, not live prices.

Where these numbers come from

Sony rates the PS5 at 350 W (340 W for the Digital Edition), but demanding games usually draw about 200 to 230 W and lighter games less. Add your TV's watts when you plan a gaming session.

Make it last longer

  • • Turn the PS5 fully off between sessions instead of leaving it in rest mode, so it is not drawing from the battery while nobody plays.
  • • Turn the TV brightness down. On a 55-inch LED set, that can cut its draw by about a third.
  • • Play on the smallest screen you have. A 55-inch LED TV uses about 90 W, while a 65-inch OLED uses about 135 W.
  • • Use the TV speakers instead of a soundbar or subwoofer, which add to the load for every hour you play.
  • • Charge a handheld console or a laptop from the station's USB-C port when you just want to pass the time. It skips the inverter and the big TV.

Common questions

How long will a 1,000 Wh power station run a PS5?
About 4 hours of gaming at about 220 W. With a 55-inch TV on the same station, plan on about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Can a 300 Wh power station run a PS5?
Yes, for about 1 hour on its own. The Jackery Explorer 300 v2 cannot run a PS5 and a 55-inch TV together, since the pair needs about 310 W against its 300 W output.
How many watts does a PS5 use?
Sony rates it at 350 W, but our numbers use about 220 W while gaming, and lighter use can drop to about 120 W. A 3-hour session at 220 W uses about 660 Wh.
Can a power station run a PS5 and a TV at the same time?
Yes, on any unit with more than about 310 W of output, which rules out only the Jackery Explorer 300 v2 for a 55-inch TV. A PS5 and a 65-inch OLED draw about 355 W together.
How long will a 2,000 Wh power station run a PS5 and a TV?
About 5.5 hours with a 55-inch LED TV and about 5 hours with a 65-inch OLED. The PS5 alone runs about 8 hours.
