EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3

The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is a whole-home class station with 4,096 Wh of LiFePO4 storage, 4,000 W of output (8,000 W surge, 6,000 W with X-Boost) and both 120V and 240V outlets for large appliances. It charges to 80% in about 50 minutes, takes up to 2,600 W of solar, and can add extra batteries or connect to a transfer switch. At 113.5 lb and a high price, it makes sense for serious home backup rather than camping.

How long does the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 last?

From a full charge, the DELTA Pro 3 runs a full-size fridge for about 77 hours, just over three days. A CPAP with its heated humidifier gets about 12 nights, and a 1/3 HP sump pump running 10% of the time lasts about 44 hours. A 1,500 W space heater cycling on its thermostat drains it in under 5 hours.

Runtime for 18 common devices

One device at a time, from a full charge. Devices that cycle on and off (fridges, freezers, heaters, pumps) use their average draw.

Battery Wh × 0.85 ÷ the device’s average watts. “Can’t run it” means the device needs more than 4,000 W or a start-up surge above 8,000 W. Try your own mix in the calculator.

Is the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 right for you?

No other single box on this site holds more. At 4,096 Wh it is a little ahead of the Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus (3,840 Wh) and well ahead of the Jackery HomePower 3000 (3,072 Wh). It suits a house that loses power for days at a time and has one or two heavy or 240V loads, such as a well pump, that do not all need to run at once.

Wall charging is where it pulls ahead. It reaches 80% in about 50 minutes, while the F3800 Plus needs an estimated 3 hours and the HomePower 3000 about 2.2 hours to full. If the grid comes back for an hour mid-storm, or you run a generator for a short while, you end up with a mostly full battery. Its 10 ms UPS switch-over is also the quickest of the big units, apart from the two 0 ms outlets on the BLUETTI Apex 300.

Output is the trade-off. At 4,000 W continuous it cannot run as many heavy loads at once as the F3800 Plus’s 6,000 W, and X-Boost only helps simple heating loads, up to 6,000 W. Expansion stops at 12,000 Wh, less than half of the Anker’s 26,880 Wh. It weighs 113.5 lb on wheels, and its DC power comes from Anderson and DC5521 ports, not a car-style socket, so a 12V cooler with a car plug cannot plug straight in.

What we like

  • 4,000 W at 120V and 240V can run a well pump, dryer or central AC
  • Expands to 12,000 Wh with extra batteries
  • Up to 2,600 W of solar input for multi-day outages
  • Wheels and a handle, plus a 10 ms UPS switch-over

Watch out for

  • 113.5 lb; not something you carry up stairs
  • No 12V car-style outlet (uses Anderson and DC5521 ports instead)
  • Expensive, and no full 0–100% charge time is given

Questions about the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3

Can the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 run a well pump?
Yes. A 1/2 HP well pump needs about 1,000 W running and 3,000 W to start, well inside its 4,000 W output and 8,000 W surge, and it supplies 240V. With normal water use it runs one alone for about 70 hours.
How long does the DELTA Pro 3 take to charge?
About 50 minutes to 80% from a wall outlet. EcoFlow does not give a full 0 to 100% time. Up to 2,600 W of solar can refill it in a little over 1.5 hours of ideal sun, longer in real conditions.
How much do extra batteries add to the DELTA Pro 3?
Expanded to 12,000 Wh, it runs a full-size fridge for about 9 days instead of about 3. A CPAP with a heated humidifier goes from about 12 nights to about 37.
