Goal Zero Yeti 1000 (6th Gen) vs EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus: which should you buy?
The short verdict
The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is the better buy for most people. It runs the same devices for about the same time, weighs nearly 8 lb less, charges faster, can expand to 5,000 Wh and usually costs hundreds of dollars less than the Yeti 1000.
The Goal Zero Yeti 1000 (6th Gen) has two real advantages. Its 2,000 W inverter can run an 1,875 W hair dryer, which the DELTA 3 Plus’s 1,800 W cannot. And its 30A 12V High Power Port, four USB-C ports and four 12V DC ports suit a van or cabin build.
Unless you specifically need those, the DELTA 3 Plus gives you more for less.

Runtime for common devices
On the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus (1,024 Wh), runtimes go from about 4 hrs for a window AC 5,000 BTU to about 3 days for an electric cooler (12V), each running by itself.

| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus 1,024 Wh | Can’t run it | 19 hrs | 26 hrs | 3 days | 4 hrs |
Estimates: battery Wh × 0.85 ÷ the device’s average draw. Real runtime depends on temperature, battery age and how hard the device works.

Capacity and runtime
The Yeti 1000 holds 998 Wh and the DELTA 3 Plus 1,024 Wh, so their runtimes are nearly identical. A full-size fridge runs for about 19 hours on either. A CPAP with a heated humidifier runs for about three 8-hour nights. A 12V electric cooler runs for a little under three days, and a 5,000 BTU window AC for close to 4 hours.
Only the DELTA 3 Plus can grow. With extra EcoFlow batteries it reaches 5,000 Wh, enough to run that fridge for about four days. The Yeti 1000 cannot take extra batteries.
Which one can run a hair dryer?
The Yeti 1000 delivers 2,000 W continuously and the DELTA 3 Plus 1,800 W. Both have a 3,600 W surge, so both start a fridge, a window AC or a 1/2 hp well pump.
The 200 W gap matters for a few high-draw items. An 1,875 W hair dryer runs on the Yeti for about 25 minutes but is over the DELTA 3 Plus’s limit. EcoFlow’s X-Boost mode, rated up to 2,200 W, is meant for simple heating devices, but plan on 1,800 W as the real ceiling. For microwaves, coffee makers and toasters, both are fine.
Charging, weight and ports
From the wall, the DELTA 3 Plus refills in about 56 minutes and the Yeti in about 72 minutes in Fast Charge mode. The Yeti’s default mode is slower. For solar, the DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000 W across two inputs and the Yeti 900 W, so both can refill in about an hour of strong sun with enough panels.
The DELTA 3 Plus weighs 27.6 lb and the Yeti 35.3 lb. That is a real difference if you carry it to a campsite or up from a basement. For UPS use, the DELTA 3 Plus lists 10 ms and the Yeti 15 ms. Both are fine for routers, and the EcoFlow has a bit more margin for desktop computers.
The ports suit different jobs. The DELTA 3 Plus has six AC outlets, two 140 W USB-C ports, two USB-A and three 12V DC ports including a car port. The Yeti has four AC outlets, four USB-C ports up to 140 W, two USB-A and four 12V DC ports. It also has a 30A 12V High Power Port for van and cabin installs.
Value
The Yeti 1000 usually sells for about $1,200. The DELTA 3 Plus usually sells for roughly $550 to $800, so it often costs $400 or more less. Both use LiFePO4 batteries rated for 4,000 cycles.
For that gap, the Yeti gives you 200 W more output and better 12V and USB-C options. For a home backup or camping unit, the DELTA 3 Plus is the stronger value. The Yeti is a newer 2026 model and can be hard to find in stock.
Common questions
- Can the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus run a hair dryer?
- Not a full-power 1,875 W hair dryer. That is over its 1,800 W continuous limit. The Yeti 1000 has 2,000 W and runs one for about 25 minutes.
- How long will each run a refrigerator?
- About 19 hours on either unit for a typical full-size fridge. With extra batteries, the DELTA 3 Plus can reach 5,000 Wh, which is about four days on the fridge alone.
- Which one is better for a camper van?
- It depends on your build. The Yeti 1000 has a 30A 12V High Power Port and four 12V DC ports, which suits a hard-wired 12V system. The DELTA 3 Plus is 7.7 lb lighter, cheaper and can add batteries, which suits a plug-in setup.
- Which charges faster?
- The DELTA 3 Plus. It refills from the wall in about 56 minutes, against about 72 minutes for the Yeti 1000 in Fast Charge mode. Solar charging is close: 1,000 W on the EcoFlow and 900 W on the Yeti.
